Tracy Staedter

Tracy Staedter is an experienced science writer and editor, who has spent most of her 20-plus-year career covering science and technology for a lay audience. Over the course of her career, Tracy has held the positions of Managing Editor for MIT's Technology Review magazine and Senior Editor/Producer for the website Discovery News (now renamed to Seeker), where she was responsible for the Tech hub, assigning, writing and editing content around energy, sustainable technology, nanotechnology, biotechnology, genetic science, robots, engineering, transportation, biomimetics and computing. Currently Tracy works as a freelance writer, covering technology for outlets that include HowStuffWorks, Live Science and Seeker, with stories forthcoming in IEEE Spectrum, Inside Science and the Smithsonian's Air & Space magazine.
