Julie Songer

Julie Songer has been a communications professional for more than 30 years. She began her career as a radio news and sports anchor, working at several stations in Dallas. She also worked at an English-speaking radio station in Taipei, Taiwan, where she anchored international and business news. Since leaving radio in 1996, Julie has worked in public relations for Burk Advertising, internal communications for Celanese and marketing copywriting for NEC. Julie joined Northrop Grumman in November 2005. Currently, she handles marketing communications for Northrop Grumman’s Airborne C4ISR Systems Division. Julie has a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications and French from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, and an MBA from the University of Dallas, Irving, Texas. She studied in France and spent a year in Australia on a Rotary Journalism Scholarship. Her personal interests are speaking French, playing violin/fiddle, swimming, and cheering for Indiana University basketball.
